Judge Dean Mandros was elected in 2010 as one of the ten trial judges in the Lucas County Court of Common Pleas in Toledo, Ohio. Since then, he has overseen thousands of criminal and civil cases and issued formal opinions on constitutional questions, civil disputes, procedural matters, and issues of great public interest.

Prior to his election, Judge Mandros was Chief of the Criminal Division of the Lucas County Prosecutor’s Office. He successfully prosecuted some of the most consequential cases in Lucas County, including State v. Gerald RobinsonState v. Robert Jobe and the serial killers Anthony and Nathaniel Cook. He has received numerous awards for his efforts.

Judge Mandros has served on the Dean’s Advisory Board of the University of Toledo’s College of Law, the Task Force Against Child Abuse, and on the Advisory Boards of St. Anthony’s Villa Home for Adolescents  and JLJ Vision Outreach Child Development Center. He is a current member of the National Association for Presiding Judges, the American Bar Association, and the American Judges Association, among others. 

He has lectured on legal matters both locally and nationally, including at the University of Toledo College of Law and the National College of District Attorneys in South Carolina.
